Pretty rad card so far.

If Shogun fights the same way he did against Dan and Vera (and there's no reason why he wouldn't), he's going to sleep. The absence of a jab and a power punch-heavy attack is not going to work incredibly well against a dude with more reach, length, hand speed, and that is happy to work you with his jab all night long. Good fight, but I think a bad match-up for Shogun.

nice card, its going to be 1 week before Cain-JDS 2 so I hope that card wont be too watered down now

Hopefully with Shogun having a fight lined up, this opens up the door for Bonnar/Nogueira. Unfortunately, I don't think Rogerio is good to go yet from his bum knee.

Lil Nog has said he wants to coach TUF but he was calling to coach against Shogun, i'm not sure when that starts filming

This is a setup fight to get Gustaffson a title fight. I love Shogun, but this just feels like a godawful style/size matchup for him.

FINALLY!! It appears they have finally figured out how to book an appropriate fox card. 155lb title fights and below should be on fox for the time being. As great as they are, they just don't sell like the others and FOX is the perfect place to not only build the smaller guys fan base, but also use their exciting styles to build the ufc's fan base in the process.

Basically, the 3 fight setup should go something like this:

Lower weight title fight
Exciting style matchup featuring a proven fan favorite
Future ppv title contenders fight

Seems like they have hit all 3 here, and it's great when they use guys who have put on an exciting fight on fox in the past ala Diaz and shogun. Too bad they didn't show Henderson v Guida, because then you would have two guys already seen by millions put on a great fight fighting each other for a title.

Good step in the right direction. Someone wrap these guys in bubblewrap.

Huh, that's actually a really good prediction. I thought it was gonna be some lame ass Gomi-style prediction, but calling main and co-main for an unannounced event is pretty nice.
