Yeah, Cung definitely wasn't looking good before the KO. Rich was reading his movements really well and anytime Cung looked to be going for something preposterous, Rich would attack and make him back up and reset his footing.

What did everyone think of Thiago Silva's fight? Alot of people seem to be dogging him for what they feel is a lacklustre performance, but I think he put on a pretty good fight against a guy who was implementing a gameplan not necessarily conductive to a great fight.

I was thinking the exact same thing. On the main page he was getting harsh reviews and the many though he was down 2-0 going into the 3rd. I was actually impressed with his performance, he was throwing hard low kicks and good combos while striking and basically neturalized Nedkovs grind it out gameplan. He did look winded early and was moving straight back throughout but he showed positive progress that had me excited to see him next time.
    Thiago Silva/James Te Huna anyone?

I'd rather see Thiago Silva fight Phil Davis actually. I think Davis rolls through Forrest Griffin and sends Forrest into retirement.

Rich is honoring the last fight on his contract

    espn

Nearly three weeks after Cung Le knocked him cold in Macau, Rich Franklin sounds prepared to soldier on and honor the last fight of his contract with the UFC.

Franklin met Thursday with his manager, JT Stewart. The former UFC middleweight champion expects to take a fight at 185 pounds, Stewart said, though Franklin doesn’t have an opponent in mind.

    “Doesn’t matter,” Stewart said.

I wonder if that means it will be his last fight.

Guess it will depend on the outcome.

If you lose to Cung, there's really no good way to come back from that. The second that punch landed I knew his career was toast.

They'll let him fight Jardine when they absorb Strikeforce and send Rich out on a win

I dunno, if you can't beat Cung Le, I'm not sure you can beat Keith Jardine either.

I don't like Rich to be honest but I could never wish that upon any fighter to have their last two fights be back to back losses from Cung and a 185 Jardine
