BTW, for those who don't know the connection, Gouldie (aka Mongolian Stomper) trained the young Gordy

In the book Pain & Passion, which is about Stampede they talk about this angle. Also, Gouldie's promo afterwards is considered one of the greatest ever. I never watched Stampede but I've seen it and it's fantastic. If you were a fan of that territory I highly recommend the book. It's really good.
