    Why would they get rid of a gamepiece? Does the shipping weight of adding a new one kill profitability?

    I was always a battleship man myself but found myself gravitating towards the thimble later on in life. I'm sure that's a metaphor for something.

    Onion hit the nail on the head with it being a great marketing gimmick. Getting rid of a piece means nothing but what an excellent way to get people talking about the game again.
