I don't think is was too far away from a legit stoppage, but when you put it into contrast with regards Tavares, it was light years away. Sure Mike was turtled up, but he was looking to defend the head shots, he had his hands up, and Vitor's finishing shots were to the body. I just looked a bit premature. I'm not saying Mike could have come back from that kick, but he was far from out as well.
I guess the fact Mike never disputed it, tells it's own story really. Dan just looked a bit quick off the mark for me, and I truly believe most of that was down to how he let Tavares take far too much, a proper old fashioned 'Goodridge'.
