Like I said, and you have pointed out, there are many vague comparisons you can make, but that canb be done with dozens of fighters who are drastically different.

Well if you look close enough, no two fighters are alike. I was merely pointing out that there are similarities, not that they are identical.

If you were to make a list of every fighter in the UFC and rank them according to how similar they are to GSP, Bendo would likely be near the top.

I suppose, but isn't the application all that really matters? A lot of people love to compare guys like Maia and Jacare as being similar. Sure both are elite grapplers who transitioned to MMA and used to fight in the same weight class. Both have had issues taking punishment. Both have underrated takedown abilities. However, I think both guys are very different in their application of their skills to the point where i wouldn't call them nearly interchangeable as some are implying with GSP & Bendo.

I think that on the surface application doesn't matter. For example you've seen Chael/Maia right? Well that fight would probably lead you to believe that Jacare/Chael wouldn't be much different because of the similarities between Maia and Jacare. Now if you wanna go in depth and really compare the two there are definitely differences, but for the sake of predicting fights on a simple basis the application isn't that important.

I guess UFC must of heard the backlash from the fans, they have made the FX prelims extended to 3 hours and also switched the card up
