Main event winning fight of the night == Dana trying SOOOOO hard to sell us the 125 division. It was an overall very good card with lots of finishes and unexpected outcomes particularly in guys losing in ways they never have before.

I gotta give it a thumbs up even with as much wind as the main event took out of the sails.

I actually didn't hate the main event. Most of the card just didn't do it for me for some reason. Rampage was throwing but it just seems that his power is gone. That goofy take down he went for was horrid. Even though I don't care for him anymore I found myself rooting for the guy but he's just bad now. Cerrone was awful too. I know Pettis is a great striker but cowboy just kind of stood in front of him waiting to get rocked. The most exciting fight for me was the TJ Grant fight but he looks like this guy and that just freaks me out.

back from the event and i give it a thumbs up but just something about this show didnt have the aura and excitement of the other events ive been to and i had the best seats ive ever had...

first off, shout out to random dude who hit our group with the free parking pass as we pulled up to the arena, grabbed 2nd parking spot directly in front of the building, you couldnt ask for a closer parking spot and best of all we got it for free, el yeah

actually lemme rewind even further back, we checked out the local "ufc gym", tiny place, but maynard and weidman were there hangin out, takings pics, signing autographs... and weird enough having their caricartures drawn. tracey lees tits showed up snapping pics, its amazing those juggernauts have the dexterity to handle a camera, anyways both dudes were real cool... grabbed pics with em and i was tellin my guys weidman is fukkin HUGE... its ridiculous he fights at 185, i mean ABSURD - im 6'1 185 and dude dwarfed me.... later after i watched the playback i noticed he was way bigger than bader too...

    anyways back to the show

russow, the hometown guy aka the loose meat manwich came into a big reaction from the crowd and folks mustve forgot how pitiful his fight was last year in chicago. suprisingly, he mustve remembered and him and jordon put on a pretty good back and forth show. i wouldve bet my house this dude russow was gonna give us the worst fight of the night i was wrong 3.5/5

went to piss, grab a drink and some overpriced nachos and on the way back, forgot i left my ticket in my jacket so while arguing with the usher bader decided he wasnt gonna wait til i got my seat back. smashed the janitor in 50 seconds and i missed the whole damn thing... 0/5

in return, fate decided id have to sit thru krauss/stumpf instead... some decent play here but nothing too exciting 2.5/5

    following that was hioki vs

crowd went nuts for zombie frank zappa until they realized how awful his style is now, i will say his walk off slam of hioki got one of the biggest reactions of the night... decent amount of japanese fans out for hatsu, dont think it came across on tv tho... hiokis content to sit and throw out subs from the bottom cost him the fight and porno stache steals another W... 2/5

grant and wiman out next and i was pretty sure this would be a good scrap... wiman rolled out with a corner of 2, his girl and his bff... no sponsors, no banners, no coaches, no patches on his shorts... basic as basic gets.... not much to say here tho besides the brutal elbows that grant brought, guys are really starting to understand how vicious they can be when used right.. loved it and great job finishing on grants part 3.5/5

next up was lamas vs the lead villian from I Am Legend

first round there live it didnt seem like there was alot of action in round 1 but watching it back on tv i was entertained, lamas came out and slapped the pressure on in rd 2 and i thought for sure kochs eye exploded on national tv - MONSTER gnp and i was impressed... im expecting lamas/korean zombie next 3.5/5

pettis/cowboy - like most others i thought this was a potential fight of the year candidate, easy fight of the night.... i was expecting several round war... but have been a longtime fan of pettis, so i was rolling with him, great fight, definitely amazing to watch live, them boys had me hyped and you gots to love the leeeever kick ko, brief but brilliant work by pettis 4/5

page vs g-lover - now once again i bought into the rampage hype, i cant help but love the pride vets so despite all his prefight whining i was rollin with rampage, i had high hopes for dude....i was feeling real good then dmx hit the loud speakers and the glove made that walk... then dmx hit the airwaves again and page made his way... man i was bubbling up ready for this one... and even tho page looked gassed half way thru the 1st they both put on, i think, the fight of the night... crowd was wild for the lhw's and rampage easily got the loudest reaction of the night, this was the real main event for the people which made it much more fun to watch than what it prolly looked on tv. i swear glovers gameplan was to takedown page and gnp him all night long.. but their standup exchanges were what the crowd wanted to see so when it hit the mat, it seemed like glover heard the crowd and almost let rampage up to give the fans what they wanted to see... also could see chxcks hilarious bobblehead reactions during the fight, good times and good fight for jackson to go out on if it is his last fight in the ufc... 4/5

MM vs dodson aka the most annoying kid in the room - ill be honest, not a fan of this weight class at all and it seemed like many in attendance werent either.. saw several dozens of people leave before and during this fight including the dudes in front of us... unfortunately, this weird dude in his 40's wearing mma gloves the whole night stayed... back to the fight, very good fight and again much better than i expected from these 2... great technical back and forth, another fun fight.. i gave dj 1, 4 and 5... dodson should easily be back in a title fight in no time... 4/5

Totally uninterested in watching tiny fighters. There's something really silly about a 125 man throwing a punch. I'd rather see them singing and giving out candy.
