In addition to everything else I've said about Fedor, yes, that was just a part of what makes him overrated.

Effective offense is landing a bunch of light strikes that do nothing to your opponent, toppling every time you get hit, and spending half of the fight laying on your back with your opponent on top of you (while providing NO offense from the bottom aside from a single sub attempt the entire fight) and attempting a collection of pathetic takedowns, many of which were reversed into throws for your opponent.Just because you don't like a fighters style or strategy means absolutely DICK. In a fight contested primarily on the feet, Werdum consistently landed the cleaner, harder shots. effective offense is what (is supposed to) wins fights. I'm sure if you were a judge, you would be one of the ones that somehow kept seeing Leonard Garcia as the victor when he easily could/should have lost 10 straight.
