I was discussing this yesterday with a man I work with, who is a scout leader.
First off, it is tough to debate with him because he often makes up facts/quotes/etc..
Anyway, he said the problem that Scouts have had with openly gay leaders was not the fear of molestation, but that THEY ALL have tried to influence the kids to their gay lifestyle.
I pretty much had to end the conversation right then, as he is obviously a tool.
