Reboot? Of... the 2010 movie? Bloody hell. What, Olyphant too expensive/busy now?
Hitman was an OK movie. Competently made, nice imagery and like a lot of cheaper action flicks and game adaptations the plot wasn't reliant on a sequence of lucky coincidences or characters doing dumb out of character things to get to the next plot point.
Just by virtue of only being a little stupid in a couple of places it's actually one of the best game adaptation movies, as most of them are incredibly stupid at every possible moment.
The problem withadapting The Hitman games is there really is no depth to the character. That was sort of the point. He's a generic assassin with a freakin barcode on the back or his dome. Trained to have no personality and do his job efficiently... and that's it.
If you're writing a movie of it you have to sort of step around the source material.
