Default Glover Teixeira vs Ryan Bader at UFC 160 in Las Vegas

    http://www.mmafighting.com/2013/2/19...ed-for-ufc-160

Glover Teixeira has agreed to fight Ryan Bader in a light heavyweight match at UFC 160 on May 25, sources have told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani.

Teixiera, who is 3-0 in the UFC, is coming off a unanimous decision win over former UFC champion Quinton "Rampage Jackson at UFC on FOX 6 on Jan. 26.

Bader has won three of his past four fights, including a submission win over Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC on FOX 6.

UFC 160 is headlined by a UFC heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.
Bader goes wrestle heavy gameplan and wins a decision or gets knocked out. Decisions, decisions.

Bye-bye Bader. Glover puts heavy hands on him and it's over in the first round.

Bader can win this fight, but I'd never bet on him. He's strong, but his boxing sucks, he can't take a punch, and he seemingly goes to Hammer House for his cardio sessions. He's good at maintaining top position on the mat, but his wrestling seems worse than it used to be.

This feels like an odd fight to put together, to me. Anybody else feel that way?

very odd but with both seemingly wanting to be active, not really many other choices...

I do not think its that odd of a fight. Its worth taking for Bader as it gives him a shot at knocking down a high profile name, and Tiexeria's grappling and takedown defense have yet to be seriously tested.

Glover gets a credible opponent coming off a win. Considering how eager everyone is to stay the hell away from Glover , its a good fight for him.

I agree that Bader could win this. Glover is aggressive, and he is not going to play keep away from Bader. Bader plays to his strengths, and I do not see him as being willing to trade strikes with Glover. If Bader's wrestling is good enough to put Glover on his ass and keep him there, then Bader's boxing deficiencies wont be as much of a factor.

I was really hoping to see Glover get a better opponent. Bader just subbed the janitor, but that guy is 42 years old and the other Bader fights that immediately come to memory are Machida and Jones, both of which made him look horrible. If Bader *somehow* beats Tex I'll start respecting him a lot more but I'd put the chances of that happening around 5%...

I like this fight, and although I thought Glover would get a better opponent, Bader makes sense to me.
I thought he would be facing someone like Lil Nog or Rashad.

I'm guessing Glover by TKO here. Although I'd love to see Bader KO this guy and work his way up to a title shot just to see this board explode in rage.

I feel like Glover is the sexy pick and can see him winning but his last fight he seemed off to me. Like he didn't have the finishing spirit. Im going with Glover but some reason I can see Bader making it a fight if Glover fights like his last fight.
