I think the winner of Mir/Cormier, Werdum/Nog or JDS/Overeem would all be an appropriate step up for Hunt. Say what you will about the guy, but I think he's earned the chance to move into contender fights.

Also, the heavyweight rankings are the worst.
roy knocked struve out though too, i think they should of waited on booking Roy to fight. Kongo should be fighting like Todd Duffee or someone

Cormier annoys me right now because his whole stance changes depending on whether Cain has the title or not. So coming in, he shouldnt even be fighting Mir if his intent is to go to 205.

He should of had a fight at 205 to begin with, since hes making the jump.

JDS-Cain III is without a doubt happening next

I could see Werdum-Big Nog winner getting the title shot after that, let Roy fight Hunt to be next in line provided Roy beats Kongo which I think he will

It still really puzzles me that Werdum ****ed himself by taking that TUF gig.
Guy could have been next in line for a title, but he is all but forgotten now.

For a division that is usually in need of contenders, I can't believe the UFC would take him out of action and derail his hype train.

Agreed. I've been on the Werdum bandwagon for a long time. Sucks he's tied up for so long

I said the same thing about Werdum and someone here said they read Werdum wanted to fight Big Nog and that he was possibly nursing some old injuries. Still a year on the shelf is a bit much for someone who wasnt undergoing any major surgeries or anything

When is that season supposed to air?

I'm assuming they've filmed or at least started to film by now??

i'm pretty sure it just started filming considering Big Nog fights Werdum in the first week of June, the guys in the finals usually get a week or two off before the finale. So I would think that times it for filming to start about now or late March, maybe April?

    Think Sponsor money.

Brazil is a hot market, and TUF Brazil has a much bigger reach relative to Brazil. Being on a popular TV show can do much for ones sponsorship contracts. UFC 147 may have bombed as a PPV, but it was broadcast live and free in Brazil.

So even if TUF Brazil 2 loses viewers in the finale and through the season, it is still better exposure for Werdum then anything that was not a title fight.
