Wish Faber would go away. I always feel like he is crammed down my throat.

That's because he is. Zuffa was DESPERATE for him to have the belt. And for good reason - he's a good fighter and a popular guy.

I get that I just feel like that ship has sailed and yet still feel the cramming of him down my gullet.

I think Faber is a unique guy. For one, he's still a beast at 135. The guy steam rolls almost everyone not named barao and Cruz. He was very competitive against Cruz, and after what Cruz is going through, I would be inclined to favor Faber in the rubber match. I still wouldn't count him out against Barao either. He's not like your typical Fitch, or Franklin who fail hard when going for the belt. Not only is he competitive, but he also has more popularity than the champs, so it makes sense. Submitting Menjivar, particularly in the fashion that Faber did, is no small feat.

Menjivar has looked really awful in his 2 UFC losses, which surprises me. Against both Faber and Eastman he looked like he'd taken too many sleeping pills an hour before the fight. It's weird that some guys hit a wall like that. Kind of reminds me of when Scott Jorgensen fought Barao, Cruz, or Wineland. Guy always looked like a beast, but against those 3 guys he just had nothing.
